God makes himself known to us by revealing truth about Himself to us. We can put these avenues of revelation about God into two different categories, general revelation, and special revelation.
When we turn our hearts to God and submit to Him, God, who had already been looking for us, pours out His Spirit on us and gives us His wisdom. He is longing to support anyone whose heart is His!
Until the discovery of the Nabonidus Cylinder, no mention of Belshazzar, whom Daniel declares to be king of Babylon, had been found in extra-biblical literature. Critics of the authenticity and historicity of Daniel questioned whether any such person as Belshazzar existed.
